On January 16, 2014, in Lepel, a town in the northern Belarusian region of Vitebsk, more than 20 local culinary businesses that had previously officially joined the European Network of Culinary Heritage had the opportunity to learn more about the concept of culinary heritage, to try new recipes and ceative ways to serve dishes. The seminar was an activity of the project Bella Cuisine being implemented by Interakcia Foundation and a range of Belarusian and Latvian partners thanks to the financial support of the European Union.
On 14-15 January, representatives of ten Belarusian districts where the Local Environmental Action Plans are being developed took part in a workshop organised by the Regional Environmental Centre for the Central and Eastern Europe (REC) in Tivat, Montenegro.
The project aims to develop and approve an optimal scenario for the restoration of an important international arterial waterway E40 on the section Dnieper-Vistula. The waterway connects the Baltic and Black Seas (ports of Gdansk and Kherson respectively) through rivers and canals in Poland, Belarus, and Ukraine. The initiative is funded by the European Union within the Poland-Belarus-Ukraine cross-border cooperation programme for 2007-2013.
