Volozhin district needs creative routes around the farmsteads, festivals for people with disabilities. During the training in “KONI-PONI” farmstead on March, 30-31, it was discussed how to attract tourists with special needs to Volozhin. Tourist information and recreation center for people with disabilities (that will be build) will provide all the information for travelers.
Heads of departments of executive committee, heads of social services, heads of farmsteads took part in the training. Experts i.e. Natalia Lazovskaya, Candidate of architecture, associate professor at the department of architecture of public and housing buildings of Belarusian national technical university, and Sergei Gotin, Executive co-partner of IMACON Consulting Group, presented international experience that can be the start for Volozhin district plans till 2025.
Speakers shared tendencies in inclusive topic, universal design aspects and discussed importance of logical framework approach. Ideas of the participants will be discussed during the Working group meetings. The project Volozhin without Barriers is implemented by Volozhin District Executive Committee, Belarusian Society of People with Disabilities, Belarusian Public Association Country Escape, and Interkacia Foundation.
